New electricity distribution and transmission projects

Eletrobras Furnas has a Pro-Gender Equity Committee of FURNAS (2013). The objective is to ensure equal access to job opportunities in the company, fighting the various forms of discrimination and promoting respect for differences.
Measurements:
- Maternity leave extended to 6 months;
- Paternal leave of 30 days, included in the case of adoption;
- Nursing room construction;
- Acceptance of Women's Empowerment Principles (WEPs);
- Furnas Agreement with UN Women and UNICEF;
- Training program “Pró-Equidade de Gênero, Raça e Etnia”;
- Adhesion to the international campaign of UN Women HEFORSHE;
- Prevention and guidance in the case of violence against women.
