The Hunan Xiangjiang Inland Waterway Transport project included a Gender Action Plan, in detail:
- Training in economic activities for 500 women with the objective of offering them job opportunities in the area of ​​the two ports;
- Goal that at least 20% of the work generated by the work be for women;
- Provision of training to women as transport operators and delivery of transport license;
- Awareness campaign on gender issues to at least 80% of the personnel of the operating company and appointment of a staff member in charge of the dissemination of information, dissemination and monitoring of the Gender Action Plan of the project.
