The Rural Connectivity Investment Program Project in India incorporated a Gender Action Plan that included:
- participation of at least 40% in the transects route;
- participation of women in road safety campaigns;
- 33% quota for unskilled women employed in the construction site;
- training on rural connectivity and development and use of gender sensitive materials.
