The Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation Corridor 2 Road Investment Project in Uzbekistan incorporated a Gender and Social Action Plan including:

- Construction of a community center for isolated and vulnerable communities that lived along the road;

- Training on economic initiatives to generate income for women and men (carpet manufacturing, sewing, shoe repair, etc.);

- Support for the creation of groups and associations of women who carry out business activities;

- Improvement of women's health services.
