The Sustainable Urban Transport Investment in Georgia Project incorporated a Gender Action Plan that included:

- Goals regarding the increase in the number of women users of the municipal transport system.

- Awareness campaigns on risks of HIV / AIDS, gender awareness and hygiene promotion.

- Improved collection of disaggregated data and increased representation and participation of women in sector agencies.

- Physical design and policies to promote the safety of passengers and employees (eg lighting in all stations, stops, waiting rooms, bathrooms, etc .; care systems for cases of harassment / violence; seats reserved for women in subways and buses ).
