A transformer and a distribution line will be installed to provide electricity to the Community Center in Dagg Point in Bartica, where currently there is no electricity, so the following services will be included. 1.Internet services for the people and especially the women of Bartica.
Women living in central Bartica as well and women living in Dagg Point all requested access to internet services. They fully understand that with electricity, opportunities for development arise and as such, internet offers women and children access to information and distance education. - Purchase computers and payments for internet services. In central Bartica, the Regional Gender Affairs Committee Building could be used as a computer center, thus limiting infrastructure costs. In the community of Dagg Point, infrastructure would be needed. Moreover, a computer literacy programme could be developed for the women of Bartica. Finally, agreements with the University of Guyana or other universities willing to collaborate in this project, could lead to the development of a distance terciary level education. This is a productive activity through the implementation of an internet café or computer center, and a social project serving the population in terms of capacity building, access to information and distance learning programme.

2. Drinking water purification system
A low cost drinking water system would not only allow clean drinking water but could also generate income for the community base business. A complete and detailed feasibility study is required to verify the costs and the market for the bottled water. A cooperation with WHO would help verify the standards of the quality of water to be produced and sold.
3. Tourism and hospitality
Taking the opportunity of the increasing number of local and international tourists visiting Bartica, this capacity building and training programme could be developed in close cooperation with the local and central government of Guyana. Tourism and hospitality is in increasing demand in Bartica considering the higher number of visitor in the locality thus this area offers a potential sector for employment opportunities while supporting the development and growth of the Township.
4. Training in Food and nutrition
This is not a productive activity but this project could be conducted in coordination with the local government and UNICEF since it has a direct impact on children and their development.

5. Waste plastic recycling
Plastic recycling can be a very lucrative enterprise however a specific evaluation of the quantity of plastic actually generated should be made as to verify the feasibility of such a project, and to then review the potential buyers. The prices are quoted on the stock exchange.
6. Sewing and clothing fabrication
The people in Dagg Point have experience in the fabrication of clothing and uniforms. Now they would like to organize a small fabrication shop using seeing machines that initially could be manual until the electricity reaches the community and electrified with small motors once the electricity reached the community. Several NGOs offer training programmes about sewing but the community also needs to acquire the machines in order to work.
